Winter Safety: Advice for parents and students

Winter is a great season for outdoor activities, such as sledding and skating. Cold weather, ice, and snow can be both fun and dangerous for children. The following tips will help parents and children enjoy winter activities safely.

Winter Storm Reminder

Parents are reminded to dress their children for the weather. Hats, mittens, snow pants, boots, and winter coats should be labelled with your child's name.

Parents, please update your emergency contact information, new cell phone numbers, and emergency child care arrangements.

In the event of school closure we are a member of the Eastern Shore Family of schools. The HRSB web page www.hrsb.ns.ca will have updated cancellation information as well as radio and TV. stations or you can call

464-4636.

If bus service is cancelled parents are responsible for picking students up after school.
